First Post

It's funny, I had never thought of starting a blog until about 48 hours ago. I just had shitload of thoughts rattling around in my head, and no way of expounding them out into the world. So I figured, why not man.
The first series of thoughts I had that prompted this idea weren't and still aren't exactly sunshine and rainbows, but then again so few things in this world are. I was watching my first episodes of a TV show a friend had told me about, and something clicked. I really identified with the guy who the TV is centered around. Essentially what he got me thinking about is how idealized so many things in our society are. Love, The American Dream, Happy Endings, essentially how we all want our lives to end up but so few of us actually achieve it. Those who do usually live happily ever after because they've gotten there, they finally made it. But even some who make it aren't happy. They think that they deserve more, they think that they're better then everyone else and will stop at nothing to get even further ahead while there are millions struggling to just get by. We all want the sun setting slowly over the water, with the love of our life by our side, and the inability to stop smiling a goofy smile because we're so damn happy and we know it. I want it too. I want it more then anything. The question is, how many of us will get there, and how many of us will fail to at the expense of those who want more once they do.
